Do you remember when your math teacher used to dock points for not showing your work, even though you got the right answer? Am I the only one that got angry with this concept? Hi, my name is Emery and I am not a fan of showing my work.

ABOUT ME

Mind you, it is not because I do not want to, it is because my brain doesn’t work the same way as other people and if I show my work, it’s usually pictures of anime characters fighting dragons or puppies chasing tail.  How does that help you to understand how I figured out this math equation?  No idea. Defying traditional normalcy is what I did and what I still do.   I grew up in a religiously conservative family, my mother accidentally joined a cult, and we had no idea.  I had the funny feeling something was wrong when I wasn’t allowed to eat Mustard or have any friends outside the compound.  Then at the age of 16, I figured out that I could go take the GED in 4 weeks instead of spending 4 years in school. “Why not, what could possible go wrong,” I told myself.

After getting my GED,  I moved from Michigan to Washington State to another super conservative university to continue my path of being a defiant little shit against the norms of established dogma.  While in university, I worked for the WA Prison system as one of two female CO and the youngest one at the Prison.  I figured it sounded like a fun job and allowed me to pay the bills so, why not, what could possible go wrong?

Then I joined the Army as part of another “Why not, what can possible go wrong” moment and asked for the first thing available and was told that if I went Airborne I would get to jump out of planes for a living.  The recruiter left out the higher rate of injury in airborne units , but are you really shocked that a recruiter forgot to tell a recruit something?

My Army career was one very eventful contract. I was assigned to the 82nd Airborne division and was trained to work in heavy Artillery.  When I deployed, they attached me to an Infantry company because the Army has the same philosophy I do and basically said “What could possible go wrong?” During a jump exercise, my shoot didn’t deploy correctly and I found myself with a few fractured vertebrates, femur, hip bone and some lovely scars that I covered up with tattoos.

I was medically retired from the Army and I felt lost and had little sense of direction.  Since I was 6 years old, I always had a job of some sort and for the first time, I didn’t know what to do or where to go next.  I fell into a state of self-loathing and depression and started to play video games all day.  In that spirit of living online, I found a community of people with broken spirits and troubled souls and we helped each other have a sense of belonging.  My community often uses dark and strange humor that is mostly appreciated by the troubled souls.  We make fun of our past as a coping mechanism.  Having escaped a cult as a kid, I was ordained online as their cult leader.  Except our cult doesn’t have strict rules about what you can eat or who you can talk to, in-fact, we encourage the weird and obscure as long as it doesn’t hurt anyone else.

I have severe ADHD, and the feeling of living in the moment, works very well for me. As much as the ADHD prevents me from showing my work, it has made for entertaining content and I find it therapeutic when people laugh at me because no one can be this flighty, right? I assure you, it’s the real me. As long as people are laughing, it keeps away the demons and I call that a good day’s work. I discovered that dealing with other people’s demons, mine stay at bay.

My army Career was one contract but definitely eventful one.  I went into combat arms with the 82nd Airborne division and became Artillery.

MORE ABOUT ME...

I found a man who’s logic and reasoning helps to balance out my emotions of scatter brained.  He has Plan A to M for almost every scenario and I don’t know what I’m doing for dinner.  They say boring and crazy work well together, and I’m here to tell you that it’s true.  He helps me with my whole life and I know that when no one else knows how to handle me, he reaches me like no one else can.  I’m also the only one that can explain Sarcasm to him because he’s the slowest smart man I know. We don’t live a traditional marriage because that would never work for me.  Our relationship continues to grow into something that works best for our lifestyle and I am very blessed to have his support and his love.  We are an openly Poly couple who knows we will always pick each other above all else.

I’ve never thought I was particular attractive, I was always one of the boys and wasn’t until very recently that I came into some desire to get all dressed up. Figuring out my sexuality was an adventure on it’s own and I found so many other exploratory people in the process that it was comforting to know I wasn’t alone.  My partner encouraged me to do some modeling and apparently there’s a market for my androgenous look and I am really glad I took the advice.

So if you don’t take life too seriously, perfectly fine with making fun of yourself, realize you’re going to mess up and ask for forgiveness and give it when others do the same, come join me on this journey.  I stream live and chat about nothing and everything.  Don’t expect me to show my work, I have no idea how I got there.  If you want to see my modeling adventures, those are there as well.  I never take myself too seriously, you shouldn’t either.  I’m the crazy girl with the wild hair and refuse to make my meds.  Is it so wrong to embrace the crazy?  I think not.
